Friends til the end Community Group
A group for those of us here who get more from our friendships than from the available discussion groups. A place to be accepted and appreciated for who we are. Somewhere to always feel safe and know that especially on the bad days we are here for each other .A place for encouragement and love.
I had a tele appointment with my PCP yesterday. I have been fighting " cold " systems for the past six weeks. Nothing was helping. Not otc cold meds or allergy meds. I was using my resuce inhaler more than 10x per day. My PCP suspected allergies and sent in a prescription for Singulair and Nasacort yesterday. I already feel better! I have been feeling like doo doo for the past six weeks, so it is a great relief to feel good!
My allergies have never been this bad. I have mild allergies some days during the Spring. However, the owner to my house had two big piles of mulch dumped off a couple of weeks ago. So, I am thinking that has something to do with it.
Anyone else having allergies this season? If so, what do you take?

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmon

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

Always had some dog and cat allergies but I still had pets and just dealt with it. Never really had bad pollen allergies until I hit my 40s. Everything got worse for me during that time.
Tree pollen counts where I live are starting to elevate so I’ve had issues the last couple weeks, with the cough, itchy eyes, some chest discomfort etc. I’ve not been taking anything yet but I usually start taking Claritin
or Zyrtec when things get really bad. I also use eye drops specifically made for allergies because my eyes get really bad sometimes with being sticky and itchy.
Unfortunately, I deal with allergies year-round. I have taken 20 mg of Zyrtec (double the recommended dose, per doctor's instruction) every day for the past five years.
Most recently, I was prescribed Ipatropium nasal spray and it's been working so well for me.
Like you, it's wonderful to be feeling better for a change :)
In winter, I had sinus headaches. Never since I've moved here to florida.
Now it's a whole different set of aches. Tough to get old. Ha Ha Love and
