Friends til the end Community Group
A group for those of us here who get more from our friendships than from the available discussion groups. A place to be accepted and appreciated for who we are. Somewhere to always feel safe and know that especially on the bad days we are here for each other .A place for encouragement and love.

in March I had a bad accident in company van with nine people riding from airport back to their pick up locations. that sucked....I did not work from Mid March to beginning of Sept with the company and also got put onto a situation of probationary status....
then they wanted me back in July but I had shoulder surgery scheduled for July 25th and did not go back to work because they wanted me to jump in and stay in the mix.....so the result of surgery has been even worse pain in my shoulder and I had hoped it would be gone by now but it is not....
then in Dec. I fell on that shoulder in the dog park. that flared it up more and now it will take longer to get completely pain free I guess if that is even possible?
But the end of year as I said is positive....have new opportunity to make money in the lull of the tour co job.
At Peace, I'm so glad you are still here.
My year was a bit like that, too. But pretty much all the negative events were temporary and eventually passed, where the good events were more permanent.
My husband and I bought a house, which is awesome. But as soon as we began moving in, sewage backed up into the house and flooded. Then while we were staying in a hotel due to the water being off, robbers broke in and stole a bunch of tools and expensive items. They also caused tens of thousands of dollars in damages to the home and property. The broken sewer pipe already costed us $14,000 that insurance did not cover. And then to be robbed too?? Plus we had to charge up our credit cards to cover all the damages they caused so now we have credit card debt.
The good news is that I got married earlier this year. We went to a family reunion over seas and had fun catching up with everyone. And as I mentioned we bought a house. Now we are working on getting our foster care license. So I feel like the positive won over the negative things for 2023. I have faith that 2024 will be a year of justice.
My bf and I were separated..living in 2 different states but still together for most of 2022 so in May of last year we finally got our own place again, but that in itself was pretty rocky. A lot of it was him not keeping a job...but last week he finally found one that he really likes and so far its off to a great start!!
Also about a week into moving last May, I lost my fur baby..my beautiful tortie Kyri. It still hurts. I did end up adopting another kitty on my birthday...not to replace her because no one can but to help and as hard as it was- I feel like it was the right decision.
Lots of random car issues...eeek! But luckily I had my parents who I'm forever grateful to.
Lost another fur baby..my bestie og 12 years in September.
