Are Still Doing When You're 80 ?

Oh boy, that is only five yrs away for me.......... I have to say that as long as I can be out of bed most days, I'd be happy!! I'd be happier still if I could just spend more time outside, and that would take, having better balance and being steadier on my feet! So maybe those are what I hope for the most.

I'll be eager to see what all you youngsters have to say......................

I hope to be still laughing, I will be 80 in 27 years so I still have a ways to go but I am also very aware of getting older now. I'm definitely over that hill, of 40's and into the next decade.

Lesa your mom sounds like an inspiration! I once had a 96 year old neighbor who mowed her lawn and--took care of her 70 year old daughter! She was the neighborhood inspiration. She could not hear well, refused to wear hearing aids so she'd get real close, we'd yell at her request into her ear, then because we were so close, she's hug us. Nice lady, what a gal!

    I recently heard a great 2007 song the other day, "Falling Slowly" because it popped up in my newsfeed, accompanied by the sad news that the  male singer, Glen Hansard, just died in a motorcycle accident.  I learned that the song won an award and was featured in an indie movie called Once. I just watched it, and it's really good.  They made it in 3 weeks on a $100,000 budget. It's streaming on...
