Friends til the end Community Group
A group for those of us here who get more from our friendships than from the available discussion groups. A place to be accepted and appreciated for who we are. Somewhere to always feel safe and know that especially on the bad days we are here for each other .A place for encouragement and love.
I tripped over a baby blanket in front of my daughters crib, she laughed so hard, I laughed right along with her, we laughed for so long tears came!
To Work, On A Saturday - We Only Worked
Monday Thru Friday " !!
Several years ago, I went to WalMart after having been in a Board (Bored ;-P)Meeting all day. The day was exhausting and I was dressed to the nines. The proper heels, the proper business suit (jacket and skirt over a nice shell blouse). I was a little aggravated with my long wait at the checkout until I overheard several guys talking about how nice I looked in my professional attire. One said "Hmmmm, she looks so fine!" Another said "She is Hot!" And yet another said "I don't know where she works, but I want to find out and just go so I can watch her all day long." So as you would expect... I was trying my best to look like I hadn't overheard thier conversation and was just so delighted that even after a bad day at work, I still looked good enough to be the topic of thier conversation in such a pleasant manner.
When the cashier finally got through with my order and all my items were placed in my shopping cart, I signed my credit card transaction, and headed out the door and I must admit there was an extra bounce in my step after hearing all the compliments. I was almost out the door, when a couple of these young men started calling me... "Ma'am, Ma'am" and I thought "Oh my goodness they are going to see that I am blushing and overheard what they said." Imagine my surprise when the sentence was finished with ".. you forgot your groceries." LOL
I let out this incredible Hee Haw of a laugh. Didn't go with the attire or the whole professional persona they had been admiring. By the time, I got to the car with my groceries I was laughing so hard I was crying. The guys came out of the store and saw me in the car...at first they thought I was upset and crying so they came over to my car to tell me not to worry ... I told them the only thing I was worried about at the moment was if I was ever gonna stop laughing so I could catch my breath.
Yep... that was Classic. You might have had to have been there to find it as funny as we did.
