Fall and plummet to your deaths. Meet me in purgatory. Itâs what humans so foolishly call life.
Iâve been there once or twice, but narrowly escaped itâs claws, as school tried to keep me friendly to its cause. It was not mine
Fall leaves keep me waiting for falling snowflakes, I seek company and strangers imply that that is what it will take.
Their eyes say it all. A leaf moves with the wind. You stay here with us in an eternal purgatory.
The snow will melt. Please donât leave me my frosty friend, I gave a carrot for your nose in hopes to ease the loneliness and am now without food.
Donât fear they say, the depression will flee, itâs spring and what wonders can a new year not bring.
It rubs in the insult. Iâm still in purgatory and the seasons move on, they pass without notice to my apparition.
I am in purgatory, Iâm not in purgatory, I cannot be in here, I give you the shovel to let your hands dig my grave, Iâm already dead enough, so please just bury what is left of me.
I hope your purgatory becomes a wondrous celebration of the seasons of life, each with its own special aspect and revelations.
