If I could do one thing

it would be to live forever
to have time to explore every part of this great planet
to love again and again
to raise children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren
and see them grow up and what they do
to refine my talents over and over
to praise the Universe year after year
to master my dreams
my body
my mind
to not have to choose what is important
because I have all the time in the world.

But since the human race has chosen to live warring each other and making money the number 1 pursuit at the cost of plant and animal, and even ourselves, I am glad I won't be here to keep enduring this heartache. Bless us all. We know not what we do.

Lorna, this so much reminds me of a character called Lazarus Long in books by Robert Heinlein, the famous Science fiction writer, one of my faviourite writers. Lazarus is blessed with long life - centuries and he may be imortal. It's just like you said, he explored everywhere and everything and everybody - including other planets and universes. It's very mind expanding to read Helnlein and very mind expanding to think of an existence like Lazarus.

Lorna, you Do have time. Time is what we have, as long as we have breath.

Who will fight the good fight, if we do not? Who will teach even one of the Truth that mankind as a whole cannot see? There must be Balance in the fight, even when we Know what the outcome will ultimately be. It is a skewed balance, I admit - but as long as there are a few who shout against the wind, the battle continues. And it must. It is our Legacy to do so.

Do not see the barren forests, that the fires have ravaged. See, instead, the tree that grows defiantly in the ruins. That, is Hope.

As I get older and more people in my life lose their minds or die, I realize there is not time. So we chose or we get tired. Do I go on fighting the good fight or surrender to the short life I have left?

    My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
