Responsibility for the young person is assumed by the relevant governmental authority and a placement with another family found.

Being a foster parent is not easy.

My wife is working as a nurse at a local hospital. She met a pregnant young lady who asked her to take the child after the delivery. At that time, my wife felt nervous and excited at the same time. For three years of being married, we were not blessed with a child yet, so she agreed with the young lady. She told me everything about it and I agreed too. After the delivery, we took the child and adopted her. I let the baby use my last name. However, the adoption was not really legal. The young lady just asked us to take her child and that was it. Now that the child is already ten years old, her “real” mother came back to take the child. Of course, my wife did not let it happen but the mother of the child got mad and wanted to sue us. I know we have to let the child be with her real mother but it’s just really heartbreaking, especially for my wife. Loving me or loving each other is never enough. Sadly, we can’t have our own child.

My husband and I have been foster parents going on 7 yrs. Are first 2 adoptions went smooth as butter. We have had our foster son sense he was 2 weeks old, he turned 3 in Aug. He has had 5 social workers, each horrible, the 5th the worse. She talks down to me is rude and hateful. Will not keep us in the loop on What's going on, court dates or anything. When we ask, she lies says she don't know. We have to find out other ways through social workers from the kids we adopted. She text me rude stuff. She lies on me and yells at me. Well a couple of weeks ago she was conniving and try to get him taken from us, for no reason. The judge went off on her. He asked did she have any concerns with him being with us she said no. The judge said what is your just cause for this. She had none. She has has showed herself in front of others that come for monthly visits, yelling at me and being hateful in front of them. Turned her in to the GAL, made things worse. Well she's been turned in again and her supervisor, took up for her. We've been trying to adopt him for 2 yrs and always an issue comes up. My husband and I love him so much but feel powerless and all alone in this
No support or help. Shes still the social worker, even though she tried to take him. Everybody, the GAL, his cc4 worker even his doctor said that would harm him, be detrimental to hI'm, to take away the only thing that he knows and loves and bonded with. Were just foster parents we have no power or say so. They can treat us however they want. We have to walk on egg shells around her constantly. She's made fostering awful. We take because we love our foster son so much. There's no help.

Unfortunately there is nothing that can be said to make this situation any easier... I have no words other than be strong and talk to someone wether it be legal or counseling. There had to be done legal president here. You have cared for this child and assumed financial responsibility etc... For so many years there has to be something that can be done. Please keep updated coming.
