Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
Sometimes we look at one mis-step as a complete failure. And that sets us back down the slippery slope of unhealthy eating habits. So being rational about a little cookie O.D. is a great way to keep from relapsing.
Keep up the great work and message me if you ever need to talk!
Keep your chin up, friend! :)
Same goes for you - if you ever need someone to talk to, just message me! :-)
Congrats on th 1week && 2days binge free-Thats some awesome progress =}
I know personally I have been trying to do the same thing.Like "mmmk so is this just normal over eating or is this a binge"? But you nailed it right there when ya mentioned you know it wasnt a binge because there was cookies left! lol
Which to me personally over eating is alot better than bingeing! Im trying to get my bingeing under control first..Focus on losing the weight after thats undercontrol..Otherwise thats just a ton of pressure all at once..&& I know id fall back into the bingeing.
Well GOODLUCK =}}
I've also found that if I drink alcohol, it triggers me to over eat badly.
I was bulemic for years then stopped cold turkey. was binge free for almost 5 years, now occasionally will still binge. It is NOT something I'm proud of and I've promised myself it won't happen again.
Keep up your good hard work.
Stickywick - Wow, cold turkey! That musta been so hard. But you did it. And you'll do it again. It reminds me of myself a little, because I was anorexic for years, and then I was fine for many years.....and then this binging started. It's funny - I thought that just because I'd been okay for so many years with food, that I'd be okay forever. But I was wrong. I think it's something I'll aways have the be aware of.
