Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
I've chosen to follow the American Diabetic Association's food guidelines. It's a good mix of protein and carbs and works into a family. Dinner is the only time we get to sit down together for a meal, so it was important to me to have a plan that wouldn't take away from that. If you want more info on it, let me know and I'll be happy to send you some links to sites that give comprehensive food lists and guidance on how and what to eat.
Congratulations on taking the first steps to a healthier you...they're always the toughest.

But you know what? Here's a great motivator... think of the next time you'll see that person and make a goal. Hear them saying, "You look fabulous! Have you lost weight?" And imagine the smile on your face, saying, "Thanks for noticing, yes I have."
People don't generally comment when you gain.. but they love to flatter when you lose. It's a good push to put that picture/image/scenario in your head and use that to drive yourself forward :)
