Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
The scary thing for me is that once I start eating something I am enjoying I can't stop, so that is a problem for Rule 4.
But, I am going to get the book and read it. Good luck
I must say this is my 4th attempt as I could not handle not being on a diet previously as I could no trust myself to eat normally!!!
I have managed so far to break the cycle of binge - go on a diet to lose what I have gained - then binge again when I cant stick to the diet- oh yes and total binge before I start the next diet!! lol!!!
For the first 30 or so days I did not weigh myself as I did not want to lose heart or think this is not working if my weight stayed the same however I was slightly curios and have so far lost about 12lbs which is great.
I have still eaten out - had treats so I do not feel deprived.
It's good to hear people saying so many positive things about the book. When I get a bit of extra money, maybe I will look for it as the used book store. In the meanwhile, I've printed out the 4 rules.
