Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
If it makes you feel any better I ate 2 entire pies after thanksgiving dinner. then the next day I ran 25 miles. The same happened last night, and today I ran 25 miles again. I really have no time for anything I actually care about anymore and I am sore all the time, but no one takes me seriously because I'm not much overweight. (I have gained 30 pounds in the past 3 months since I got back into the country after being in the mid-east, but when I was there I was a bit underweight so it just hasn't yet begun to really show).I hate the holidays. Ugh.
I fell off the wagon yesterday, 3 days after thanksgiving! I had lots of leftover in the house and just kind of went to town, all day. Gave in, really. I usually go to the gym everyday for at least half an hour. I know I'm in an unhealthy state when I don't do that. But I'm back on the wagon today. That's all you can really do, just keep on trying and keep your spirits up. Easier said than done, but worth a shot! ps- I have been to OA in the past, not saying I'll never return, but it wasn't for me at the time. I have issues with community (childhood trauma) I crave it and detest it simultaneously. OA was a little to much for me, but it could work for you. Depends on the person. Take care ... xBluevibe
