Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
We are all going to make, one day at a time!
It's good to know I'm not the only one who feels this way....thanks for letting me know that.
I have so much guilt around food consumption--even before I put anything in my mouth. A therapist of mine once made the connection between my guilt around food and depriving myself pleasure, like I don't deserve to enjoy something delicious. It gave me something to think about, though I still struggle with the kind of obsessing over what I put into my mouth you describe.
Anyway, yes, someone else definitely feels like this! I guess I just try to be easy on myself and remind myself that I can nourish my body with good food *and* that I also deserve to enjoy food. I hope you find some healing support here.
