Breaking the cycle is excruciatingly difficult at the beginning, but in the end, it is so totally worth it.
life is hard. i am, over and over again, stunned by how hard life can be. and all we can do is try. we do the best we can. and tomorrow we do it again.
good for you Jonathan for making the progress you have - i suspect that even if you did 'go back' you wouldn't stay there. to achieve what you have, shows a lot of cetermination and committment to your health and happiness. to a life in the light.
You can learn anything now. No one is ever too far gone to learn something new. And more than that - you can put it into practice. Normalcy is overrated, though so often we strive for that - just because we look at people with normal diets as people who don't struggle. We're going to struggle with this - for a long time. But that doesn't mean we can't be healthy and happy people. And it NEVER means we're not worthy of that.
So many great replies here...I'm taking them all to heart. Thanks everyone.
