Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
I also keep telling myself to remember that every book on food addiction tells me that "recovery is not about weight loss". I have to remind myself of this all the time because of course addicts have a very all or nothing attitude...:)
Soup is very filling. i would suspect Mel1509 that if you drank a glass of water before you ate, you'd also have less cravings.
Hot chicken broth or hot water with lemon are the best.
