Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
As you say, for the few moments of "pleasure" the pain and loathing and everything that comes with an addiction that follows just is too much of a high price to pay!
I'm also sugar, wheat, snack/junk food free etc and feel so healthy and alive. But the cravings still hit from time to time (hormonally). Finding what works for you is key and then doing your best one day at a time is how I get through.
Take care, Kim x
