Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
I had gastric bypass in 2007 and have gained back over 30 of the 80 I had lost. Failure ~ time and time again....failure. Again...you are not alone. Looking forward to getting to know you and others who can empathize! God bless the beginning of our journey!

I definitely encourage you to get active. I've found that for me, walking every day is better for my psyche than taking an antidepressant. So I look at walking as my "medicine" that I have to take every day, even in the rain. The trick is, it has to be something you consider fun so that you'll keep doing it. Maybe you can start small- at your lunch break, eat for 20 minutes, and then go for a 10 minute walk. Set a small goal, and see how it makes you feel.
Hugs!
Anyway, if you ever need someone to talk to, feel free to add me here on DS, and send me an email if you'd like. You are not alone.
I've been overweight my whole life. It's been a slow process, but it's now at the point where I am trying to reverse it. I also came here to find friends to help motivate me, so feel free to add me, and I definitely will do what I can to help you out.
And by the way, your husband is a douche. I think I can speak for everyone here when I say that I can't wait for the post that informs of that you've left his ass.
I used to run, and really enjoyed it so I'm starting again. It's a really great stress reliever. I'm trying to replace my stress with running and talking to friends.
So many people struggle with this disorder and I don't think I really realized that until I came on Daily Strength. You must know you are not alone and that you have the power to change your life. We believe in you, but most importantly you must believe in yourself.
You need to do something about that husband of yours. He can't treat you that way. Make him respect you. It's unhealthy to have to listen to him degrade you constantly.
You can always talk to any of us. I know you can achieve your goals. Never lose faith in yourself.
I am planning to walk today(just around the block) and stopping soda, coffee and caffinated tea on Monday. New beginning for the Spring time. We can do this, it won't be easy, but we can celebrate and cry together. Feel free to email me.
