Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
I feel tired, for no reason. And sort of depressed, in the sense that I don't feel like feeling anything.
It makes me wonder if these feelings are connected to food. I'm sure they must be. Maybe I've had some mild depression all along, and used food (sugar) to get my seratonin levels up, and feel better. Etc.
If I've been using food to push down these feelings, I'd say that part of the cure for binge-eatings is to feel my feelings. So I will. I'm staying in, ignoring the phone, and letting myself be tired and a bit lonley and a bit sad and a bit depressed. After all, "the only way out is through".
