Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...
Don't blame yourself, that only makes you feel bad and then you eat more. I know it is hard, but what you need to do is just accept that you are human, and this has happened, and then move on. Try and distract yourself somehow, don't brood on the past. Maybe you are being too strict on yourself, I don't know. Some people find it is best to deny themselves everything and keep away from trigger foods, but I find that makes me feel deprived so at the first opportunity I eat badly again. I am trying to find a workable system where I allow myself a few treats but don't go overboard. The thing is we all need to find a solution for ourselves long term, and that will be different for each person, and will also involve trials and tribulations like this along the way. If you amde good progress once, you can do it again.
