Food Addiction Support Group
An individual suffering from a food addiction disorder frequently experiences episodes of uncontrolled eating, or binging, during which they may feel frenzied or out of control. They will eat much more quickly than is normal, and continue to eat even past the point of being uncomfortably full. Binging in this way is generally followed by a period of intense guilt feelings...

When I was diagnosed with an illness caused by my being over weight....I felt lost and scared. To find out that only 1 in 100,000 people suffer from my syndrome made it all the more difficult because I didn't know who I could turn to for help. My motto was I wasn't at rock bottom, there was rock bottom, 50 feet of crap and then me.
I knew I didn't want to go blind or deaf, so I pushed thorough and went to my GP and asked for a nutritional consult. I wanted to lose weight but do it the right way. I learned to eat healthy, smaller portions and limit my calories. I became more determined with time. I have lost 15 lbs and have way more to go but this time it's different.
You must find compassion and love for yourself. You must take it one day at a time and don't beat yourself up if you make a mistake or feel like you've cheated. Dust yourself off and start again....it's okay and you will get there with time.
A few things that I do is myfitnesspal.com to track my food. I have a bike that I can take and ride a trail. I also own a treadmill for rainy days. I enlist hubby on walks when I don't want to do it alone. Reach out to people.....it helps to know you're not alone. You could try to form a weigh loss group of walkers in your area.
I am sending out positive thoughts and prayers to you, blessings, Aim
