" No no no. Always do your weights BEFORE cardio.
You need your energy and strength for your weight routine, and then while you have your metabolism up, move into your cardio and work off the rest of energy you have left.
If you do your cardio before yoru weights, you will not be in your peak shape, so your weight routine will suffer. You will tire sooner, so you will lift lesser weights and your sets and reps will be lower as well.
I am not talking about your 10-15min of warmup maybe on a bike or treadmill because you still need to do that cardio. What I am talking about is to jump on a bike for an hour AFTER you have done your hour of weight routine.
My preferred choice of cardio, is spinning. Can you imagine doing a 45min spinning class and then doing a full body workout? There is no way I could do that; my legs are exhausted after spinning, so there would be no leg press or squats or lunges.
Always do your cardio at the end of your workout.
Continue to do 10min of cardio before your weights, and even a bit after the weights, finishing with some good stretches to complete your workout. "
