Fitness Goals Support Group
This community is dedicated to group support around achieving fitness goals, whatever they may be, through personal training, athletic activites, or other strenuous activity. Whether you are trying to get fit to treat a health problem, boost your mood, relieve stress, or tone your body, this group is a great place to meet other like-minded people who have similar goals.
I can completely relate to what you wrote. What works for me is this: I make an agreement with myself to put on my iPod and dance to two songs, and after that to do 5 pushups and 5 ab exercises of any sort. If, when that is finished, I am allowed to quit WITH NO GUILT. I completely let myself off the hook. I PROMISE myself that.
And, of course, 8 times out of 10, that warms me up and gets me in the mood and I want to do more. But my brain really, really resists thinking about doing the whole gym routine, so if I give it a tiny little thing to think about, there is so much less resistance.
Best wishes!
