Fitness Goals Support Group
This community is dedicated to group support around achieving fitness goals, whatever they may be, through personal training, athletic activites, or other strenuous activity. Whether you are trying to get fit to treat a health problem, boost your mood, relieve stress, or tone your body, this group is a great place to meet other like-minded people who have similar goals.
It's now 2015 and I have been told by my OBgyn mid December of last year that I have POS cause by my obesity. She suggested I lose 20 lbs before she would put me on any type of medication. This setback has not pushed me to drop those lbs and go back to the way I was.. a healthier lifestyle overall. I'll be 31 next week, 5 ft. 2 and 213 lbs! i am 10 days into a 'better me' and I'm doing it day by day. I like to keep a small notebook with me and write down what i have eaten for morning, noon, night and snacks in between. I keep log of my workouts and how I'm feeling. I also keep track of my water intake. I find that helped me before and has continued to help me know. I like to go back at the end of each week and see what I did, ate and wrote to myself.
I know it's hard but keep trying and keep going is the key. It's hard when life gets in the way, we just have to find ways to keep focus and carry out and complete that goal.
I wish you the best of luck. Now that I'm new to this group, i'm going to try my best to keep an update journal of my progress!
Now that he and I have consumed all of the Italian food, I've been on my bicycle and in the gym working out almost every day burning off the fat, and my gut is shrinking back to its normal size. I've told my roommate, as kindly as possible, that while I appreciate the food he's been contributing, normally I don't eat food so rich in sugar, white processed flour, fat and calories, and have made suggestions on salads and other things that offer way more nutritional value. He seems receptive.
Anyway, he's moving out in a few weeks, so when he's in his own place, he can eat whatever he wants and I'll go back to eating my usual, more sensible, healthy diet, lean meat, fruit, whole grains and veggies.
Let me know how it goes! I'll be back again soon! And we'll do it again!
