Fitness Goals Support Group
This community is dedicated to group support around achieving fitness goals, whatever they may be, through personal training, athletic activites, or other strenuous activity. Whether you are trying to get fit to treat a health problem, boost your mood, relieve stress, or tone your body, this group is a great place to meet other like-minded people who have similar goals.
Any great ideas for getting going on a new fitness program? I've signed up with a weight trainer once a week for the next month. I'm hoping to workout (with weights) another day each week. Then thereafter twice a week on a regular basis. I read the Younger next year books and I love them. They say 6 days a week, 60 minutes, two days are with weights -and to monitor your heart rate and keep it up. and don't eat junk!
Also, pay attention to diet, nutrition, the food you put in your mouth. Try to eliminate bread, pasta, rice and potatoes as well as sugar, and just eat lean meat, fruit, monounsaturated fats like olive oil, and other veggies. The fat will melt away, with zero exercise, although exercise, especially aerobic cardio, like bicycling, really kicks up the metabolism.
