I been on the road of financial recovery with my employer for four months now since my ex left me with $200 dollars. to my name. I thought I was going to drown. but I made it this far. I made a payday loan and paid part of it every payday. my bank acct has 0.71 cents in it my saving had $1.06 in it. and i have quarter tank in my truck. N some cash on hand. i think $12. oh yeah. I paid one bill off from my bill collectors. so I'm slowly moving forward. thank goodness for support. :)
the next bill on my list may have been paid or a charge off there still investivating that one for me. So on to next one i guess until they find out what happened to that one.
I'm trying not to stress and just take a day at a time. just updating. ((((Hugz)))))

Yeah after my breakup i really thought there was little hope for me. i was over 1200.00 in the hole. I didn't see anyway I could undo all the damages. but i made a list of all the bills the collectors and past collections. paying from smallest to biggest. I started by paying my allest monthly bill and paid my credit card in full and keep it active. paying in full every month I make sure to buy all my needs too. and to teach the kids budgeting i give them an allowance. on my paydays. this preventz me from having to say no to them. they choose how they want to spend it. after its gone. no more until next payday. right now i can only afford $20 to the older ones n $10 To my young on whos in grade school. five kids. Two twenty year olds one 16. One 12 soon to be 13. One 7 yr old. one adopted. I just help the two adult kids

I help the adult kids until they get situated. Hard times. and when they run out they know I'm out too. cuz I'm paying it all to bills. its easier for me to say no now cuz i set there limit now.

I do believe, just from my own experience, it is easier to pay bills when a dysfunctional relationship ends. At first it was hard for me because in the back of my mind I was always trying to get out of debt for the ex... it was kind of wanting her approval for doing it... it was not a healthy way to try to get out of debt...

When I finally started to work on my debts just for me, things got better and I felt good about myself.

Now being debt free, I feel comfortable to live and to date.

Yes, I did date when I was in debt but I never gave it my all... I couldn't, I had all this excess baggage carrying around with my.

Now, nearly four years later, I can give myself entirely to a wonderful lady... the same lady who saw me flat broke and watched me grow into a responsible man...

When being debt free comes for you, you will enjoy the total freedom of dating without a ball and chain attached to your relationship...
