I got to a point where I would not open mail during the week. I had enough stress with work and just trying to keep up with bills that I didn't want anything else thrown on top of it.
So Saturday became my day to open up all the mail. Then I'd end up being down all weekend trying to figure out how to pay all these other bills.
I then changed from every Saturday, to once a month. And I'd look at the post mark date on it and if it was over two weeks old I never even opened it - it just went straight into the trash.
Even after I got out of debt, opening my mail was a challenge... I had no reason to be in fear of it anymore, yet the past still made me cringe...
I'm finally at a point that I open my mail as soon as I get it... a very different feeling doing that...
