Hey folks! I know there hasn't been activity in a little while, but I am glad to have come across this support group. I do enjoy reading other people's updates. Thank you for being here!
Outside of our mortgage, we have about 11,000 in debt (a $6000 bank loan, and $5000 between 2 credit cards). We had $500 in other debts, which I paid off a week ago. With tomorrow's pay, we will pay off the smaller credit card (which is $630).
We are using the snowball method, and will be comfortably able to do at least $1000 to minimum payments/debt repayment.
That's the logical thinking.
I do struggle with the mind stuff. I can justify a purchase like no tomorrow. I will never be a credit card person, and fortunately, there are a lot of other options out there now.
All 2025, I struggled with creating a physical budget. I printed off many papers. Bought a planner. Still struggled.
This past week, I've purchased a $0.70 spreadsheet template off of Etsy, and that has me feeling a lot more confident with my planning, as well as less wasteful. A different tool that I didn't realize was an option.
Here's to new energy!

Today is the birthday of my favorite aunt. I lost her 2 years after the death of my mom. I miss you aunt FranSince I feel I am a family of one with no real love around, guess I will love myself. I may dye my hair later today. But first, I will shop for a nice fall jacket and maybe look for a good fall/Oct festival in the area
