My spouse has a court day for dec and his odds dont look well out a lawyer to hire! Trouble is im the only working due to my spouses health kissues. So we are rich! Any ideas?? I may have to take 2 mortgage which would suck...not many options!. :(

I have had my own scrapes with the law and have raised kids who have had their troubles as well.
I told them and practiced it myself... if you're guilty of a crime, then man up and let the chips fall where they may.
If it ain't "serious" like a murder or DUI and killing someone, a public defender will do just as good as a paid lawyer.
You want paid lawyers if you're looking at 10 - 20 years in the pen...
That's my opinion anyway...
