I am currently stuck in a small town in transistional housing. It's not super stable housing, and definitely not ideal (can't choose roommates, can't get mail, etc). This town has nothing to do, either. It's a tourist/retirement town. There are expensive bars and coffee shops and art events, but that's about it. There are not nearly enough resources for the amount of people here either. My medical providers are usually booked over 5 months out, and there's very little support for poor and mentally ill people. I feel trapped here, emotionally and physically. 

I've been trying to move somewhere better. Somewhere in Washington or Oregon that has more resources and opportunities. There are two problems. One, I'm on disability and only get $780 a month. Two, there's no affordable housing available anywhere I have looked. I have contacted agencies and apartments directly and it's all either way too expensive or has 1+ year long waiting lists. Even Section 8 waiting lists have been closed where I look. Moving without a place is not an option, since I know that will just make my mental health worse. I need to get somewhere else. I just don't know what to do. Any advice?
