Hi all. I'm relatively new to this site on DS and is my first topic I've posting here. Well, my credit is poor and I'm trying to get $3000 within a month. I'm very discouraged after going on google and typing "Bad Credit Personal Loans", I get one of three results.
#1--Payday Loans (very discouraging since the interest rates are sky high and virtually all of them have "UP TO $1500"--meaning the most one can borrow off of this is $1500 and many times the loan is probably between $100 and $500.
#2--Sounds legitatment at first, then you find out that there is a fee that's required to join their club and/or obtain information that's likely free of charge if you know where to look.
#3--A loan that turns out that they DO check your credit report and you're denied anyway. That already has happened to me twice and they claimed they helped people with poor credit.
What I am looking for is a company that can lend me around $3000 that can be paid over a 40 month period and I'm willing for them to take an "x" amount of money automatically out of my checking account if necessary.
All I'm asking for is some suggestions. I'm willing to do the work. Thank you in advance for your time.

I recently tried to qualify for an auto loan with no luck as we have a BK in the recent past - ONE bank however said they would qualify me for the loan - the catch 21.21% INTEREST! So much for our tax dollars bailing out the banks! Ridiculous interest considering they get to "borrow" the money from the Fed Bank @ 0.5% interest!
