Holidays and moving

I am now stressed out more than I originally was... My husband and I are trying to help my friend move up north...though that is a story that has been posted in another group. Well today, my husband asks me if we are sure we want to move in to my friend's house, and how if we really want to move then we should probably not do Christmas or celebrate my soon to be 6-year-old's birthday. This is really hard for me to deal with right now... I hate not having the money to do the things with the kids that I want to do already, and usually we are able to do Christmas for at least children. This was probably gonna be the first year that we would be able to get Christmas gifts for each other. And to discuss the fact that if we move we may not be able do Christmas for everyone, or even celebrate the boy's birthday is very frustrating...


And there is just so much in the air right now, because we do not even know if we will be able to move (not even with the consideration that we would like to have more space). We don't want to risk losing our home because of the debt that my friend is in.... 



So, I just don't know. And it stresses me out not knowing...not being able to decide also stresses me out.

Yesterday reality hit like a ton of bricks. I started listing all of the things that I need to start worrying about financially. Which means I will probably not be able to move into my friend's house... There are just too many things that have to be done financially to be able to do so. Moving would mean two sets of bills (one of which is pretty high because it's winter), plus trying to figure out how to get the house that we would be moving to cleaned, which when I was getting estimates was around $2-3,000.00 (which I don't have and cannot get easily or afford, and I cannot clean it myself...) and I need to start putting money aside so I can get ready to have my son come out to visit for the summer. (not to mention, that I can't even guarantee that his dad will pay me back like order states he's supposed to, so I am probably gonna be out that money like the almost $1,000.00 I spent this year...)

Whereas, if I give up on moving, then I just have to start putting money aside which while that doesn't change what was said above, it does put a little less stress on me.

Ugh...I hate the financial issues of my friend's house.

I just got off the phone with my friend's sister-in-law. It is really frustrating to talk between the two of them. The sister-in-law wants basically nothing out of the house, but my friend wants basically everything.

But the good thing is that once she finds out what the information is for the mortgage, she will just let us know and we can pretty much just make the payments directly to the company. The sister-in-law is setting it up so that the house goes to us in her will and at that point we will just have to continue making payments. But once my friend does pass then we can make changes to the deed.

Have you taken this to a lawyer? Real estate transactions are one thing I would never do without having a competent attorney review to ensure MY best interests are being protected.

Well, today, I sort of feel a little bit better about everything that is going on. It has been updated on another post, but for this one. Last week my car died, like 2 days before we were scheduled to get the dumpster to really start getting rid of things.

We were able to rent a Uhaul, which got us through the weekend, and we have someone who is loaning us a car. We also found a co-signer to try and get a new car for ourselves. Just worried about that since, I don't know if it is going to work out or not, but good things are that we have a few friends that have came through for us. And as of right now, the house is still working out. No idea if the kid is going to be able to come out yet or not, but it is really hard to plan out with an ex that wants to try and go to the agreement, but then not complete his part of it.
