I have spent the weekend getting my finances in order...
All bills are paid and I have nothing to worry about with that until the 1st of September.
Found disability forms on-line and printed them out. One page needs to be filled out by the physician.... so I'm going to have it with me and IF I have surgery have everything ready to go...
I have two checking accounts. One I use for everyday living, the other I use for events I want to find right away. I have had this account for four years and have written eight checks on it... all for taxes.
This weekend I transferred $5,000 from an emergency fund to this checking account. This account will be used to pay for medical necessities and future bills.
First time, I've really looked at my health insurance. I have a $1,600 deductible, after that amount is reached up to $3,200 the insurance will pay 80% and I'm responsible for 20%. After $3,200 is reached, the insurance company will pay 100%.
So, the checking account should have enough in it to pay medical bills... also coming out of it will be insurance premiums and any upcoming prescriptions.
My plan costs me $10 for generic... $40 for name... and $80 for specialty drugs... I actually have a lot better policy then I thought...
I'm sitting pretty good. Monday morning, I will see the surgeon and I am now ready to get this over with.

Not sure how to start this newsletter. For right now, it is a sign-off newsletter.
I have medical issue that needs to be taken care of and while it is still being fixed, I just can't find the right state of mind to work on the website.
At times I believe things are moving along slowly, yet it will be three weeks, this Wednesday, since my first doctor's appointment. Since then I've had two sets of blood work done, an EKG, a chest x-ray, and a CT Scan.
And today, I will have a heart catheter and will also have a scope sent down my throat to look at the back of my heart. This will be done at The Nebraska Heart Institute and by the end of the day, I will be meeting the surgeon and find out exactly what will take place to repair my heart.
All this started because my hands swelled up and were painful to move. Now that I'm on two heart medications the swelling has left but my hands are extremely weak. The cardiologist does not believe my hands swelling has anything to do with my heart and he set me up to meet a rheumatologist on Thursday.
Whatever happens, one thing is for sure... the swelling of my hands has saved my life.
I think I'm still in shock with all of this. I have been tired but I never thought it was my heart. I am a little nervous and fearful with what lies ahead.
Yet, I also know and believe I'm handling it all quite well because of friends that my Higher Power has put in my life. And there is the key to it all a Higher Power. I am so grateful to have a spiritual life because it has kept me grounded. And while I have had some fears, it never runs so wild that I lose my belief in God and the doctors He has put in my life at this time.
Until my return... stay safe and stay well
Dave
I think your HP has gotten the message that we all want you well and back on this message board, doing service work as you always do. He has gotten so many prayers and request for your well being that I'm sure he will be holding your hand through it all. Stay strong and keep squeezing His hand, He can take it. Allow Him to bring you back strong and healthy.
We will be here waiting for the good news (praying in the mean time).
Take care!
