Second if you think that you are not going to be able to get back to work because of your physical troubles, then start the SS disability process right away. The sooner you apply the sooner you can get it. You will be turned down probably at least twice though. You can do the first two apps your self then you will need to get a lawyer. They will take the case and wait for their money until you get approved though. If not then find another lawyer.

like for example, Pain -level 7 , lower back, soaked in hot tub, and don't forget to add How the remedy helped, It helped but Pain is still there, If you suffer with depression , be sure and list this, If you have trouble using your hands, or standing,sitting, now take this to your doctor and ask him to put it in your file, this way he has to chart on it,
Doctors like to keep charts very simple, I was blowed away by how little was really being recorded in my records, nothing about Pain that is for sure, now If you don't have much for medical records it can take forever, and I think it is best to talk to a lawyer they can speed this process up.
The main thing is getting it filed now. If you do prove your case they will pay you from the date you filed,
and I want to mention that once you have filed Your SSD application, You can apply for assistance for medical card, Now as far as the taxes, like everyone else said, Call them and they will work with you, In our state, You have to have 3 years of delinquent taxes before they will auction, You can also apply your homestead tax to them, best of luck,
