I probably should have put this in my other post aswell, but I didn't think about it until after -.- I'm freaking out a bit about paying for school. I didn't take my unsubsidized loan that they offered me because I thought about it and in the long run I'll end up owing doubled what I borrow.... Was I wrong? My school is so pricey... It's $41,000 something odd a yr..... I got $30,550 in financial aid though. I don't know if I can borrow from a regular bank though because of my father's debt and my mother's credit is ruined because of my father's debt. I can however borrow from my school. I don't know how much though. I got work study also which is helpful and I can also make monthly payments, but I don't know if I'll be able to make enough to pay them... I just feel like crying right now.. I feel like I need to take up some kind of hobby or craft to make extra craft... I think I need to sell pastries or something to make extra cash so all of my money can go to that... God now I'm crying. I just need advice.

When I was in college, I knew many people who went full time and worked part time. Find a weekend job.

Hun calm down, there must be a way. Dont you happen to kno a rich friend/ relative who can lend you some money??

Can you find a full time job in this summer vacation?? and on weekends??

Will the financial aid be paid yearly??? if not, maybe you want to look for a less expensive school after the first year.

Its yearly but I still need like $10,000 and getting a summer job now would be pointless. I move in 2weeks. I plan on getting a job up there as soon as I arrive. I'm just freaking out. I have no family that I can rely on for something like this... I'm on my own and it's starting to freak me out.

I thought it was hard to borrow money for lots of us..so when I heard someone who has money and tried to get an interest free loan and they got turned down because they are self employed you wonder whats going on out there..but I have the saying wheres theres a will theres a way .so biggest hugs and dont stress because under stress we dont think straight..one thing can you not drop some of youre classes so what money you have will pay for some ..example get private tuiton when you have a job.. or can you get a job where they pay for you to do some qualifications..my daughter did this route she found a job which they themselves paid for her put her through the qualifications she needed..

Well it pays more to be a full time student, but im afraid that if i switch to part time it will affect my financial aid... Im also going to file with the VA for aid cause my father and other family members were veterans so hopefully I get somethig.

Do you mean get a job where they pay for my college. Even if I find one I probably couldn't get to it... I don't drive right now so I'm stuck with minimum wage jobs. If I can find like a waitressing job, to me that'd be perfect because of the tips.

I may have to switch some things around I'm not sure... I'm going to talk to them about it tomorrow and about getting a loan from the college themselves and hopefully I can borrow enough from them...

Are you talking about the Student Loan program? If you are, you don't have to make payments as long as you are a student. Check your lender for academic requirements (GPA & hrs/semester).

If you are talking about a short term loan from your college, I don't have any input, sorry.

But I still have to have a cosigner because I don't have any collateral or a job... And finding one is going to be hard because I really don't have relatives here and my parents can't do it for me...
