Well, I'm at the end of my time in England. It's hard to believe five weeks have past. Had an amazing time and more memories of this country are now stored away in my mind to pull up at anytime.
Wednesday, at this time, I'll be somewhere over the pond heading towards Chicago. It is the longest part of the journey. 15 hours later, I'll be back in Nebraska and then the rest of the week and weekend will be spent getting over jet lag...
In March, from America, I'll be watching some political votes that could shape the future of Great Britain and Europe as a whole.
1. The debate about immigration reform...
2. The vote for Scotland independence
3. The referendum about the UK in the EU
As the trip progresses my yearly worry/fear about my contract renewal will take place. I am hoping to be alert enough on Thursday to stop by my employers and see if I have a job for 2014... so hoping for a yes so I can relax for the weekend and set my plans/goals for 2014 into action...

I favour......
1. A distinct English Parliament.
2. Scotland to be cut loose from the UK. (What England loses in North Sea Oil revenue they can more than make up with an exit from the EU)
3. The Monarchy to be abolished and replaced with a Commonwealth of Republics with each nation having its own laws and border control. (more in line with America's Founding Fathers and their set up of the fledgling United States)
4. The repatriation of British Gold that Gordon Brown, as Chancelor of the Exchequer, flogged to the Vatican for a 'Cheap as Chips' rate.
But, alas, the British would rather watch Reality TV than discuss Politics. :(
The monarchy? That will never happen. One thing I have seen in the four years of going to the UK is that they are truly loved and besides that they are a source of income and numerous jobs... they are good for England... unlike other monarchs, they are known and respected throughout the world...
