But getting my immediate ones current and in my budgets, and at a 0 balance is my main concern right now. I paid my insurance for the next 6 months, I am current with my truck payment.
I am working on my cc, and my light bill and my landline. As soon as I get everything on a good rotation with my income. I will be working on savings.
Oh yeah I paid myself this month too. I pd me $25.00 which gave my negative balance a positive. So I do have money in savings. But I have to keep it in there and not bother it. So how do you do that? I treat it like a bill and when I pay it I just leave it there. It's a bill, not a payment. So when my checking acct runs to zero, I need to say I don't have any money and not spend any money.
so i am on my way to financial freedom :)
What I did was "treat" myself to a once a month party. Congratulations on starting a savings... why not try and find another $5 a week to save? Then at the end of the month, have a little party with that $20.
What I did was either order a pizza and a soda. The soda was a real treat because I quit buying it to save some more money. Or another thing I did was go to McDonalds and get a meal to go and then order a movie through Amazon Instant Video and watched that.
It wasn't much, but after a month of living very frugally it was kind of a celebration for me where I didn't break the bank or put myself back in debt. And I really looked forward to it...
Hope this gives you some kind of an idea of how to reward yourself with simple things for having a good month...
It's stressful at times, but worth it when my bills are paid in full at the end of the month :)
If i do, I will probably go back to selling food, it seems the easiest to sell and what makes money fast. Besides beadworking.
I even have wood sales on the side, and still yet am struggling, my SO is helping as much as he can, but he has his own things he is doing.
So I guess just impatiently wait for my tax refund, and put some savings away from that. Thankfully I got my card connected to my bank, and I can transfer most of it over to my savings. I don't know what percentage would be good, i was thinking 10, but probably less. Since I have some bills to pay yet. Just running things around in my head. I hope I don't get them on a work day, It would suck cuz it would be burning a hole in my pocket. lol
As far as your truck payment... is it possible to pay it in halves? Pay half of it two weeks before it is due and then pay the other half on its due day... this might help with cash flow...
