I know that feeling it took me awhile before going off certain pains mes I kept thinking if I'm in this much pain now what am I going to feel like when I stop certain pain meds.
Just like you I was surprrised there was no difference in pain.
Sending hugs and prayers that you continue to feel good and keep improving.
I recently went off most of my pain meds too and I don't feel any worse than I did before. In fact, I probably feel a little better because I don't have the central sleep apnea and constipation that the pain meds caused.
Hugs,
Deb
Hugs and happy thoughts,

YAY YOU!!!!!
Good luck with the meds I keep the vicodin in my pruse at all times but never touch it. I count to 100 sit back think of what you just did or another happy day, the sleeping pills I have not refilled mine since early June, I won't lie I may get up and take a Valium but its only a 5 Mg (ok on really bad days/nites) I double it but its not all the time.
Exercise is key it even makes your mood every so happy, I love it when I can get out and do my thing and it is double the fun when a family member can join me.
I do get the after shocks so be carefully before you toss what you have, the tinging, tinkling, cramping, numbness happens after a workout or when I push myself awound the house so be preparded get the meds handy dandy!
HUGS and god bless almost sunday!
Hope everybody is having a good weekend!
