Hi there, I'm new but have an old problem. I have been battling low self-esteem ever since I had to stop working in 2000. I've gone back to work part-time twice since then, the last time was a disaster. My pain levels were not excruciating BUT my stress level was in outer space. I couldn't problem solve my way through the morass of emails in a clinical research practice with a crazy doctor.
I'm going to work on my resume again, through my tears. i have SSD and have enough to live on and I take a class a semester through the local junior college, but I want to have the social interaction you get at work and the sense of accomplishment, etc.
Does anyone out there have any advice/support about the job search process? I realize I may fail again but I can't live with myself unless I keep trying. I am a little worried about new government scrutiny of the disabled social security recipients. I don't know what this administration has implemented. Has anyone heard anything about that?

Since you have SSD, and enough to live on and take a class a semester at the junior college..hmmm maybe you could do volunteer work at a hospital or nursing home.
Besides that, I'm wondering if you would lose your SSD by obtaining a job. I'm really unsure of how that works though, so I could be wrong.
