One thing I noticed. I went from the evening dose of 50 mg down to 25 mg beginning last night and this morning, my pain was through the roof. That's what I'm dealing with right this minute. Good luck with your discontinuation.
I have exercised every day for six months, now going to the Y and getting out of the house more, which helps my mood a great deal. I'm on week two, going from 75 mg/day to 50 mg/day and now 25 mg/day, then to 0 per day.
I have no idea what to expect; pain has gone up a bit at times, but it's still early to say what the final result will be, as I'm in the early stages of going off this. I have noticed some muscle stiffness and "here and there" pains, but I am trying to keep active, hoping to reduce effects of going off it, plus finding a new way to help pain without increasing pain meds. Heartbeat, tremors, anxiety, panic really scared me. I am also hypothyroid and glad2bee, thanks to your post, I will try to get my thyroid checked more often, as I've often suspected it doesn't stay steady.
So what I'm doing is everything my doctor suggests, along with things I have found on my own to help pain. Doctor has suggested I try the above I mentioned, so hoping to keep working on that, plus better diet, maybe some yoga, etc., and my faith. Hope this works and pain doesn't shoot sky-high again. PS: 50 mg at once would send me through the roof! Thanks, MK
