I also had a horrible meeting with a Neurologist, basically told me he would not diagnose me with a disabling disease and I was on too many medications already. Funny, I don't remember asking about disability or pain medication. Good doctors are hard to find, There are some, but unfortunately there is not much they can help us with except manage the symptoms. Eat good whole orgainic foods, easy excersizes, stretches, meditation, balance, balance, balance... then realize that Fibro will wax & wain as it wishes. We are just along for the ride. My hope is to just not agravate it anymore than I must.
Good luck {{{HUGZ}}}
I went to Physical Therapy for 3months, didn't help much. I was already doing yoga & gental stetches, my PT didn't understand that my muscles are always tight (that doesn't mean I haven't been doing my exercises.) But maybe you will be lucky and find someone who can help you. Good Luck
My neurologist said the exact same thing to me. I was on too many pain meds and that I should get go back to work. Said maybe I had Fibo but he does not diagnose this and should go back to my regular doctor. What a waste of time..... But my doctor was great. Understood me and did all the testing to rule out other diseases. A lot of people have told me that PT has not helped.... I go next week. Maybe can have come up with new ideas... Thanks for your reply .
:o)
I hope they have a warm pool where I am going. I do take hot showers that eases the pain for a while but it always seems like my muscles tense up even more about an hour later. But I do find taking hot showers at night instead of the morning are more benefical for me. My appt. is on Friday so it will be interesting to see what they recommend.
