I crash like that except i dont get a high fever.

No idea. I crash but not that radically---- and my temp only flares these days with hot flashes (argh).... Might be worth a quick mention to th docs to be safe. Never know what odd thing can creep up on you.
Might be a good idea to record what you've done the last week or so, see if there was a trigger, though. I know my biggest trigger is not self-caring enough---then kaboom!

Yep...I totally crash like that sometimes. Although I usually contribute it more to my CFS than my Fibro since it usually doesn't involve the pain. But yep I get all the same symptoms you described (including the increasing temp - although it never gets REALLY high - usually stays below 101 F) and ALL I can think about is laying down and falling asleep.

Leo, I saw a doc after the last episode and had bloods done and a head CT-all normal of course. But will mention it at my next check up.
Cynaroark, I'd not connected it to the CFS before-I tend to blame anything odd on the fibro.
Hoping some rest will fix me up.

Sweet LPB...I always blamed everything on the fibro too. It wasn't until I mentioned the extreme fatigue, the slight fevers and the fact that the lymph nodes in my neck seemed sore every time he "checked" them that he dx with co-morbid CFS.

Hehe! Maybe I need to do a bit more reading into the CFS-I've done a fair bit around the FMS but neglected the other side. I'd hate to be accusing the wrong culprit! :) Thanks Cynaroark

I can be feeling totally fine ( or at least as best as I can) in the morning and by 2:00pm usually is when I can have a major crash and will have to crawl home practically after work. No fever though

Hi LPB. Do you still have a high fever? If so, you might want to check it out with your doctor to make sure it's not the beginning of something.

I have had those sorts of crashes with fever, but they seemed more related to autoimmune problems. Have you seen a rheumatologist? If you have one you should probably call him/her and be tested. Some tests that should be done is sed rate and ANAs at the very least if you only have a GP. In theory, fever shouldn't be fibro, since fibro isn't supposed to be inflammatory.

Lyme disease?

Great advice here. I think you should ask your doctor about all see possibilities, especially Lyme disease. Didn't think of that, but as soon as I read it, My brain went "Yeah."

I crash like that as well. Like a mini flu trip but not long but just as crappy. I get chills, then I'm hot and also sometimes starts with a migraine.

Think its time for a complete blood panel by a rheumy. They search for different things then a reg dr.

Thanks for all your comments and advice. Fever came down pretty quickly and felt a bit better after a quick nap on the couch (something I never do). Managed to get 9 hours sleep last night and feel so much better this morning.
My ANA always comes back +ve at various titre levels with speckled patterning, but so far I'm -ve for any specific auto antibody they've tested for included the Lupus indicators thank goodness.
It's been about a year since my last full panel so well due for another. And I'll ask for them to test for Lyme disease as well. Fortunately I am able to see a GP that will take advice from me and basically repeat tests that have been done in the past by my rheumy without having to do a referral to him (wait times for specialists are probably the same here as they are in the US!).
