I started this rash on the right side only of my stomach. I was wondering if anyone else had experiences with rashes.

The rash goes across with tiny red dots, sort of like tiny blisters. Some are in clusters and lots of them are small raised dots that go across only the right side of my stomach.

I've put neosporin cream on them, and it's not helping. They don't hurt but mostly itch and irritated. This started about 6 WEEKS AGO, and instead of clearing up, they seem to be spreading. I have a Hematology apt. next week, and I was hoping I could figure it out before then.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Have you tried something like a baking soda pack? I'd go easy with the neosporine. Prbly would use Cortisone before I used antibiotic on a rash.

I'm the "queen" of allergic reactions, but I'm not sure what this could be. Initially I thought it could be shingles, but they are painful...

Thanks ChaCha, ....Tonite I'll give the Cortisone cream a try. I'm not sure what a baking soda pack is??

Ohnoflo, I checked out that link, and it mentioned Cortisone/Adrenal as a possibility. I am actually still waiting for my results on a 24 hr unrine test for Cortisone. Thanks for the link.

Hmmm, I get lots of rotten rashes too, but sure sounds like it could be shingles..... Have you had the doctor check it out?

I dont know what it could be but I swear by aloe vera either straight from the plant or in a gel it works wonders for any itching or burning and is natural to.

My SIL just had Shingles this winter. When I saw her during the Christmas Holidays she showed me her arm, and that is exactly how my rash looks like. But from what I know, Shingles are supposed to be very painful and this is only irritating (OK, maybe a little more than irritating)....And ITCHY!!!

Also, does Shingles last as long as I've had this, about 6 weeks?????.....And it's still spreading......Hmmmm.....

I was just dx with LICHEN PLANUS yesterday and this sounds like what I have. Google it and check out the pictures to see if it looks the same....the doctor gave me some cream that will make it not itch as much but it cost $50.00. It's called Protopic 1% but I haven't opened it yet, $50.00 is so much money!!

Yup, you guys guessed it right. I got Shingles.

I finally showed the dr today. When I told him that I've had it for six weeks he got pissed and said why didn't I call him.....We fibo ladies and men deal with so much on a daily basis, that it was just not a Front-runner for my complaints.

Anyway, I didn't want painkillers....but took the rx for Zovirex Cream. Is this a glorified cortisone cream?....or is it worth getting it???
