Still feeling really tired and slept a lot. I went to bed early despite getting up late yesterday because I couldn't stay awake. Bf brought me some groceries yesterday, which will get me through the week until I can go myself this weekend. He also surprised me with some beer because he's awesome. My new rocking chair I ordered came yesterday too so I put that together, which wasn't too physically difficult but I crashed hard after. I kinda had to get it set up because the huge box it came in barely fit in my house, so I had to get it back outside once it was empty and it didn't matter if the rain destroyed it. It's probably something I should have waited on buying but I got a great price and I figured now is when I actually have time to put it together. I'm still waiting for the cushion that shipped separately, but it's really comfortable even with my improvised throw pillow and blanket. My headache and breathing are a little better today and I don't have a fever, so I think I'm going to try an easy run on the treadmill. It's actually pretty nice out but I'm not leaving the house other than walking Miki with a mask on, so any running will be in here til Friday. I'd also like to vacuum if I'm not too tired from the run, and get my mom's Mother's Day present done. I'm really glad I ordered it early because if I ordered it now it might not even come by then. I got her a set of olive wood utensils (olive wood has stunning wood grain patterns, it's really pretty) and I'm going to burn floral designs on them, because she loves to cook, bake, and garden. So I'm patting myself on the back for having these sit on my microwave for a month because it would be hard to find a plan B right now. And now I should get moving before I lose all motivation, hugs to all who follow
Oh, no Leo! Hopefully you'll have no issues.
Miki, those utensils sound beautiful! I wish I had your talent.
Another blessedly quiet week here. We did our weekly grocery shop yesterday. The store was really empty which was nice. We were in and out in about 30 minutes which is a record for us! :) Today we need to start moving things from the kitchen to the back room. The kitchen remodel will probably begin in June, but we need to start moving now to make certain we have everything out in time. I'm dreading it but I'm also excited about it.
Hoping everyone has a good day!
Today i see my shrink thru zoom so will see how that goes at least i still get to see him! Over all doing ok just have my moments. My case worker called yesterday said im the only one shes talked to that is doing ok. Dang! Matt made toast and fried eggs this morning love that in the morning i am not a sweet breakfast food person!
Leo praying for your laptop to keep working!
Miki i wish i could be that good with art stuff i do my best though! Hope you feel better everyday!
PainedOne Glad the store was really empty for you!
Leo...Oh No!!! Not the laptop! Danno was walking down the hall an had a collision with Tank. Wasn't even a big collision but it was enough to wreck the screen. Got it in right away and it took about 10 days or so to get it back. It's so crumby when that happens! We rely so heavily on our beloved technology.
Miki, I'm so happy to hear that you are doing better. And I love rocking chairs. Sometimes they are the best when we are in so much pain. They keep your body moving a little so we don't cease up. Hope your planned run goes well and I hope you post pics of your new project! I think right now my favorite wood to collect is acacia wood pieces. Olive wood is also stunning.
Pained! Oh the Projects to get done! How long will it take the contractors?? So exciting to have that to look forward to, even with the mess it brings.
And yes, the stores actually have been pleasant. My poor hubs, we ran out of ginger ale (our go to flavor) and we needed to stop on our way home. But then "aunt flo" decided to show up and well, lets just say my hubs gets the hubby of the year award for going in and grabbing that stuff too! Some days I really hate PCOS. I never know when it's going to arrive. But my hubs was thankful no one else was there too in the store.
Angela, hope the zoom meeting goes well for you and it's good to hear that you're doing better than most. Hang in there with the weather. By this weekend they are calling for the return of the 60s again!
Not much to do here today. Putting the easter dishes away now. And some laundry upstairs. Boys have their sessions later and I need to prep for tomorrow's case worker review for the boys stuff.
I better get going! Hugs to all!
Miki, Angela, Painedone, and Wonder. So good to hear from you all this morning. Hope you all have a good day, and can forget you woes. Even for a little bit.
I got a chance for a virtual visit with my doctor yesterday. My back is so bad. Read my other post. I hope the meds he gave me start to work. Prednisone makes me a little wonky. And the strong muscle relaxant knocks me out. But if it all helps, okay.
Not much else going on. Just sitting at home like I’m supposed to. People we know went and visited family for Easter. I just don’t get it. It’s a pandemic. Sometimes we have to do things we don’t like.
Love to all.
Not much going on around here. Going for a drive later. Just to get out but not stopping anywhere. And, I will probably nap or watch junk TV later. Waves at everyone!
We went for a long drive today and stopped by my helpers to drop off a couple of things to help him out. The bags were in the back of the truck so we all kept our distance. He was thrilled to see us. I had Amazon send him some dry dog food for his fur baby and treats too which arrived earlier today.
It is really hard to get some groceries here. Almond milk is almost nonexistent. Butter is $4.50 a pound right now. Fortunately, I still have some in packs in the freezer from Costco. My partner actually found toilet paper yesterday. There was no cheese of any kind available. Going to the grocery store is a challenge .
I’m now going to attempt to finish making the bed with clean sheets. Then, I’m going to nap. My head is kind of plugged up and my ears are ringing.
Hope everyone is doing OK.
