I have A LOT of fatigue...Its difficult for me to do anything. I WANT to do lots of things during the day I just can't ever find the energy to do them.
I experience stabbing pain sometimes in my lower back..well more near where my kidneys would be. I experience random pain in my hip as well but those two don't occur as often as the knee ankle neck and shoulder pain. Which is VERY often.
Ive had every blood test in the book over the last few years. I was feeling really ill but they couldnt find anything wrong with me..until finally they did after finding nodules on my thyroid and they then ran the thyroid blood panel as well as one for lupus..thats how I finally was diagnosed with Thyroid disease. I've had a CT of my head to rule out other brain stuff to diagnose me with Migraines and Ive had xrays of my jaw to diagnose TMJ. I get sonograms on my thyroid every 6 months...basically thats my medical history.
I havent seen anyone about my knee and ankle pain. I always just thought it was arthritis and that I would have to just deal with it so I never have seen a doctor about it but lately I have been wanting to but Im mid insurance change and can't see a doctor for a month or two.
My fibro started with numb tingling and went from one side to the other and the pains are always in different places. Today I've noticed it's above both armpits. Yesterday it was my left knee. PLus my hands are burning really bad. My back seems to always hurt in one place or another.
You should see if you can see a rheumatologist. Everyone says not to mention fibro though. Because once you mention it to a doc. - if they don't believe in it, it will be in your chart and you will have a hard time until you fnd someone who believes in it. But, a rheumatologist can tell you if it's arthritis, bursitis, and if you bring a list with all your symptmos, they may even do some poking of trigger and tender spots to see if you react with pain.
I was tested for vit-d def. and yes I do have a vit-d def. I take supplements every day for that. Last time my blood was rechecked my levels were still a little low but they were def higher than before.
Could that be my problem still?
I've been dealing with this pain for years and I just can't take it anymore! Its def gotten worse too...not sure if that was because I changed climates. I grew up in a tropical climate and moved up north..I experienced my first winters and such....I had never lived in seasons before. I have been diagnosed with all this stuff since living up north...not sure if that has anything to do with anything but nowadays im just not sure about anything..connections seem to pop up where I dont expect them!
If you're in a colder area, it could be some kind of arthritis. A rheumatologist is your best bet. But, you may need a referal from a reg. doc. to see one.
All this stuff can cause the depression and anxiety too.
I was fine 2 1/2 yrs ago. Healthy as a horse. Then one of my daughters got hit with a spinal cord disease - Transverse Myelitis, and 2 monts later I started getting all kinds of things going on - kidney stones, GERD - I can't remember what else. Then this past Sept. I found out about the fibro, Hashimoto's, an ulcer, arthritis, bursitis, bone spurs, myofascial pain syndrome - low vitamin D - I think that's it. Talk about depression - that got real bad, but I'm pulling myself out of that and this site has helped a lot. The people in here are really helpful.
I would definitely get an appointment with a Rheumy.
This is a great site that has extensive trigger point and referred pain pattern diagrams along with articles discussing myofascial pain:

Another wonderful resource is the trigger point therapy workbook featured at triggerpointbook.com. This book has made my life bearable enabling me to go from being in one degree of pain or another for years on end to being relatively painfree about 85% of the time.
