I know it takes time finding the right one to not hurt around the ribs but make a difference in the shoulders and neck.

I wear an underwire. There'd be black eyes otherwise. Took me fr*kin months to find one I could tolerate. I followed a fitting tutorial at an online shop, herroom. Finally settled on one particular walcoal brand bra. Pricey! But the do not irritate me, move around, cause rashes. I own three. Nothing exotic. Your basic beige natural shape. (Whats with all these foam-stuffed push-up jobs? So that's it, and I so glad to be done with it. Good luck to you!
Sorry you are having pain from bras, but glad to know I'm not alone.
I've been shopping for good sports bras for the past month for everyday use around the house. Haven't found any good ones yet, don't want cheap.
The underwire bras hurt so bad and cause major flair ups that last all day and night when I wear them. I have all these new bras all underwire in every color that I just got last spring, most I've never worn, just too painful. Got matching panties with all of them too, DARN! Love pretty lingerie. I can and will still wear them once or twice a month when I go out for no more than a couple of hours.
I have a professional fit me once a year, I'm an average 34D.
Going in is great because they custom-fit you but they are also online. It was great for my daughter because we could order and pay for the bras online and roommate could stop by on his way home from his Pasadena jobsites.
Oh yah - they're called Wizard of Bras. wizardofbras.com
Thanks a million,
