My husbands appeal for disability was denied. Their reason for denying it was so dumb. He had an EEG in February because he had a seizure. His EEG was normal, so the insurance company said he should have been capable of working this whole time despite the pain of fibro, cognitive challenges, anxiety, and depression. What does the EEG have to do with anything, and how could they say that one normal test result negates everything else. I don't get what they think gives them the right to disagree with his doctor anyway. Why do they ask for the doctors opinion if they're just going to ignore it? His doctor clearly said he's been unable to work since January.

So know he's working on finding a lawyer. Great. Part of me is angry and wants to fight. The other part is tired already from stress and just wants to give up. I think how these insurance companies treat people is so unethical and I don't know why they're allowed to keep doing it
