Fibromyalgia Support Group
You're not alone in your pain. Fibromyalgia is a condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. If you're trying to cope with pain throughout your body, sleep problems, general fatigue, or other common fibromyalgia symptoms, you're in the right place. The community is here for you to talk about therapies and share your challenges.
Sounds like lots of changes coming your way but all "good" ones so I will certainly pray that it all works out for you. I imagine some of your clients will follow you to your new place. Besides look at this as a great opportunity to meet new people.
Hugs and prayers, Dawn

@Dawn - we didn't realize at first that the salon would work in the house, once we did I asked all my clients and all but ONE said they would continue to come to me! I'm really fortunate in that I've been doing this for four years and already have a really good client base of wonderful people! I live on a small island connected to the mainland by a bridge and the majority of my clients also live on the same island. I was really pleased when I told people about the possibility, many of my ladies told me they would follow me even if I moved the shop 30-45 minutes away from where they live! :)
I actually use a machine called Salon Pure Air - it has two layers of dust filtration plus 5" of activated charcoal, so it keeps the dust and chemicals out of the air. They were actually originally created for use in dental labs, which have much harsher chemicals!
The house has a 13x17 bedroom with an attached bathroom located right next to the entrance to the home, so I will be able to set it up just like a small salon. It should have the same atmosphere as my current salon, even though it's about half the square footage that I currently have. I will definitely want to keep the same level of professionalism of my current shop, and will keep doing the made in the US retail (just a smaller selection) and keep business hours and policies pretty much the same.
The only difference will be location and that I can expand my hours, which will give clients more flexibility in scheduling. My biggest challenge will be to determine how many services I will do in a week and how many in each day, so when I reach those numbers, my schedule will be "full" even though I have open time slots. I definitely don't want to push and do more than my body can handle.
HAPPY EASTER!
