I woke this morning with my face feeling numb and droopy feeling on the left side also my left leg is tingly up to my hip. Is this what some call frozen? Please explain.

I would get to the er, sounds like a small stroke to me, dont want to alarm just think it should be ruled out.

Kimmylee ...... That is something to check on. I seem to have these a few times a year lasting a couple of days. I checked my bp thinking that was the problem but it is ok. I wonder what a mini stroke feels like, I will check it out. Thanks.

The first thing that comes to mind when I read this is stroke. I would definitely have things checked out and please let us know how you are. Warm Hugs

Stroke recovery requires injection of damage preventing meds and there is just a small window of time where these can be administered for significant effectiveness.

If there is any chance this was stroke, I'd call 911, as they can start drug before long delays encountered in E.R.

My mom had dozens of mini strokes, and often wouldn't even tell us. It eventually left her pretty ravaged.

Please err on the side of caution.

Your BP would be OK now,esp if you suffered a "mini" stroke. Since this has happened to you before, you could be suffering from TIA's (which are in essence a very mild stroke). I would follow letitbe's advice...pronto!

shelias post got me to thinking how we all should be better prepared to identifying symptoms of stroke,heart attack,br ain anuressim.in our little weekly newspaper,they often print up the signs and symptoms of such life threating illnesses.i read through them,and never give it a second thought.but with my memory loss,i am going to start clipping them out and posting them on my refridgerator. who knows when an emergency can rise.i think this can be helpful for my whole family.i pray shelia gets a good report.maddie.
