With me it was black mold exposure. It doesn't take much, does it? And we find ourselves if worse trouble than before and no way back out of it.

I also agree with others you might want to get checked out to make sure nothing got broken or fractured.
Sending Hugs and Prayers that you feel better soon
I also had surgery before my head injury, and that sent me into a flare, too, but I did get back to a point of normalcy.
So in my experience, fibro can definitely get worse after a surgery, injury or illness.
I hope you get to feeling better soon.
Hope you feel better!
That was years ago - now I have a hip that's trashed and I'm worried I'm going to need replacement surgery. I hear so many stories about people coming out of surgery much worse, and even some whose fibro started right after surgery. I think that's why I've put off talking to my doctor about my hip.
Sorry this happened - glad you weren't hurt worse!
so a knee accident not recent but last year!? did you ever have surgery! It could be from that also not just the knee accident!
havin surgery is trama too! or as others have mentioned could be a "VIRUS"
This assumption is based on my experience relating to a mirror accident . A huge mirror shattered and puntured my thigh. That was some seriously searing pain and seeing layers of skin straight down (plus the blood) had me close to passing out.
For many weeks after the mirror incident, the Fibro pain and tenderness was substantially worse. I know I tensed up from the injury pain (my headaches worsed as did my TMJ) and I assume all 18 of my affected trigger spots got 'squished' by the tensed-up muscle.
I'd think you would've responded to your knee pain by involuntarily tightening every muscle. Do you think that this may be the cause of your worsened Fibro/muscle pain?
