Has it ever occurred to you that you have so few friends because of the ex? This is one of the ways my ex ties to manipulate me. He fills up all my time with him and his friends that my own friendships have suffered. Just a thought. Best of luck to you as you go forward.
Hang in there. Ask for some medication to help you get through this difficult time. Get involved with something. Pray, reach out to good people. Don't give up!
I certainly didn't mean to hijack your thread....I just wanted you to know that I do understand. I agree about getting on an antidepressant to help you through this difficult time. It has literally saved my life to be on one. It just helps makes things a little easier to bear. And there's nothing to be ashamed of in taking it, either. I hope you'll talk to your doctor about all that's going on in your life, so he can help you. Please keep us posted on how you're doing, and continue to reach out here. Just know that we are here for you!
God bless you.
Also the lack of friends isn't because of my ex. I've never had a lot of friends, but in high school and college I at least had a few people that I saw several times/week. Now that I'm out of college, not living in the same area, and dealing with fibro, I've lost touch with most of them and haven't made any new friends. My lifestyle makes it really hard to meet people my age (late 20s). I'm in bed by 8:30 pm most nights and rarely have the energy to go out beyond like the gym/grocery store. Plus I can't afford to do much now so I feel kind of stuck.
