I have been tested for this and do not have it. It's worth a try to see if you do indeed have Fibro or something else.

I have a friend with this and she has fibro also. the sjorens runs in her family.

I was tested for Sjogren's. It is a simple blood test. My Ana levels came back negative. I was dx with Non-Sjogren's Sicca Syndrome. Essentially it is all the dry eyes, mouth etc. With out the autoimmune part.

Hi - i have fibromyalgia, arthritis and various joint problems, spinal issues. etc. My dentist noticed my dry mouth and when I mentioned dry eye, s he immediately said Sjogrens syndrome. I have terrible problems with my eyes. I wear glasses anyway and whilst having a checkup my optician diagnosed extreme dry eyes. I have eye drops but my eyes get really blurred and I cannot see the TV or read. I also tried artificial saliva spray but it makes me hoarse. Any idea gratefully received, mainly with the eye problem

My best friend has Sjogrens and Fibromyalgia. She was diagnosed with Sjogrens first. A biopsy was done on a salivary gland in her mouth to made the final determination. She had all of the other symptoms, dry mouth, dry eyes, lichen planus skin problems. Many people with Sjogrens also have Fibromyalgia. Take care.

I havve a positive ana and all the symptoms of the sjogrens but it has not come back positive in the blood work do next step is a biopsy. The dry mouth is so bad that at just 50 they tell me I have to have dentures which really blows! I use genteel eyedrops daily as often as needed- they need to be the ones without preservatives. I also use saline spray for the sinus' as needed. I also have many of the hands and feet problems that goes along with that type of arthritis. Let us know what happens!

I have both. The sjogrens' is very difficult to treat. I use Biotene chewing gum, Sensodyne tooth paste, and eye drops, Restasis. Sometimes I have blurry vision, but I try to just live with it. It's not in my power to change it. Mom had it, too and ruined her teeth. I have inplants and they work very well. Brother had to buy them for me.

My fibromyalgia is much improved with Xyrem for sleep. Still, the DDD disease is hard to take. The best I can do is some exercise, yoga and Pilates. They help with the whole body being flexible.

Thank G-d we got a loan modification and so, my house is safe. Small and old that it is, I am so comfortable here and the rents have gone so high. My soul cries for all those who have lost their homes. It's a dreadful thing to have happen. I am relieved that FEMA is working well again. We need the government at these times....it's too big for any one organization to help. Billions have been lost, I'm sure.

I have just been diagnosed with Sjogren’s, and I’ve had Fibromyalgia for 10 yrs., Rheumatoid Arthritis, Along with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fatty liver and Adult onset of mild Asthma. I have been taking concerta 54mg for 3 yrs now. My body began to reject the concerta and I started having large deep ulcers inside my bottom lip, sore tongue, and various other ulcers in my mouth. I began experimentation and the sore start healing when I stop the concerta. The minute I take one my mouth gets sore and by the next morning I have a new ulcer!! Dr said it’s not related by it sure is!! That med affects my immune system. Of course I quit taking it and my mouth is healing.
With Sjogren’s I get a nauseas stomach quit often. So bad I miss a lot of work.
I’ve been a super healthy person my entire life till about 10 yrs ago. I’m 58 now. I’m desperately trying to keep my job but I miss so much work I’m afraid disability is on my plate next year.
Does anyone have good information on getting approved for disability??

How long do you have to be unemployed before they’ll grant it in South Dakota?
